About Our Executive Director
Eli became involved in the planning stages of Union Station in the late 2012 when being appointed by his pastor to serve as one of the founding board members of Union Station. Since that time, he, along with the other Board of Directors, formulated the mission and vision of Union Station building it from the ground up.
His wife, Liz Carter, was appointed the first ever director of Union Station and Eli became an Ex Officio member of the board serving as a business consultant and formulating the many policies and procedures to guide the organization. He volunteered many hours helping with the maintenance and daily operations.
In May 2014, Liz decided to step away from the director's desk to focus more on family matters and Eli was appointed as the Director. While she is no longer the director she is very involved at Union Station.
Eli has been involved in the social service field working with disadvantage youth for ten years. He has won agency and international awards for this work.
Eli and Liz have been married for 17 years and have two children, Elisha and Ethan. If you come visit Union Station you will see the Carter's walking around serving and completing tasks to make Union Station run effectively. Eli has coached for 18 years at different levels and enjoys seeing the kids develop skills that will last a lifetime. The Carter's attend and call Vineyard Christian Fellowship their home. Eli has a bachelor's degree in education, a MBA in Organizational Leadership, and in March 2017, he became an Ordained Minister.
